Stanislav Roth

Stanislav is the founder and managing director of Source.

In 2011, Stanislav founded Source Legal to enable smaller and medium-sized businesses to have access to practical, proactive and agreed price legal support.

Stanislav advises and represents numerous clients in the construction, infrastructure, mining services and labour hire industries, including Brookfield, Pybar and Ambition Group.

Stanislav’s areas of expertise span contract law, construction law, dispute resolution and implementing high quality compliance and training programs.

Prior to establishing Source, Stanislav worked in senior in-house legal roles with leading multinational engineering, energy and construction companies – Alstom, Areva and Lend Lease.

Stanislav always approaches legal advice with pragmatism and a sharp focus on resolving problems. His clients also appreciate his ability to maintain a sense of humour!

Sean Melbourne

Sean heads Source’s employment law and litigation practices.

Sean’s areas of experience include:

  • All areas of employment law, including drafting employment contracts, drafting policies and procedures, restructuring, termination of employment, redundancies, unfair dismissal, adverse action, employment-related litigation, post-employment restrictions, fiduciary duties, transfer of business, awards and enterprise agreements;
  • Conducting commercial litigation in in the areas of employment, contract law, corporate law, competition and consumer law.

Prior to joining Source, Sean worked for 10 years in litigation and employment law at international law firm Baker & McKenzie, servicing corporates in a wide range of industries, including engineering, construction, mining, IT and consulting.

Sean provides legally incisive and pragmatic advice to his clients.

Hayley Furer

Hayley heads up Source HR – our Human Resources consulting service.

Hayley’s areas of expertise include implementing HR & recruitment functions, increasing productivity, building effective management, reducing attrition, advising on employment legislation, and providing change management solutions.

Hayley is a commercially astute HR expert with extensive business partnering capability and a thorough understanding of how to provide effective solutions for HR pain-points.

Prior to joining Source, Hayley worked for over nine years in HR management roles for growing SMEs. Her last role was Head of HR for a global ASX listed recruitment company. Prior to starting her HR career, Hayley worked as a recruitment consultant for five years.

Lutful Baki

Lutful is the CFO of Source, and also heads up our CFO consulting service, Source CFO.

Lutful delivers strategic financial management advice and services that deliver immediate and ongoing benefits to our clients’ bottom line.

Lutful’s areas of expertise include financial control and management, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, identifying key business drivers, cost rationalisation, margin and efficiency improvement, local and international compliance risk management, financial modelling, and business valuation for M&As.

Prior to joining Source, Lutful held senior finance roles in ASX-listed and international companies, and led the finance function of major projects in developing countries, as well as played a key role in successful start-ups.

Julie Carlill

Julie heads up Source’s communications and marketing.

Julie’s areas of expertise include strategic corporate communications, client relations, brand management, employee culture and change initiatives, PR, and small business marketing.

Julie is responsible for Source’s brand in the market, focused on creating opportunities for more businesses to benefit from Source’s unique approach to value-based legal services.

Prior to joining Source, Julie worked for 15 years in senior communications roles with leading multinational companies, including HP, Dimension Data and Accenture.

Dawn Carey

Dawn heads Source’s corporate law practice and advises clients on business acquisitions and disposals, shareholders’ agreements, corporate governance and compliance with the Corporations Act 2001 and the ASX Listing Rules.

Prior to joining Source, Dawn worked as a Senior Associate in Norton Rose Fulbright’s corporate law team.  Dawn also previously worked at leading international law firms, Baker & McKenzie and DLA Piper. Dawn has successfully completed numerous corporate transactions and secondments to Telstra, Vale, Sugar Research Australia and Tourism Queensland.

Fiona Yiend

Fiona is an experienced senior lawyer and company secretary. Fiona advises and represents numerous clients in the construction, engineering, professional services, manufacturing, mining services, labour hire and other industries.

Fiona’s areas of expertise span contract law, construction law, dispute resolution, corporate law and governance, including compliance with the ASX Listing Rules.

Prior to joining Source, Fiona worked as general counsel and company secretary of several ASX listed entities. With over 19 years’ experience across in-house and private practice, Fiona is highly commercial, adaptable and legally savvy. She enjoys partnering with clients to deliver real outcomes and results.

Elena Nelyubina

Elena advises clients in the IT, recruitment and labour hire, energy, construction, services and manufacturing industries.

Elena’s areas of expertise include contract law in general, with a focus on IT services (Managed Services, cloud, software, datacentre services, data security), sales and procurement. Elena also has experience with government procurement tenders and contracts, tender management, employment law and business immigration.

Prior to joining Source, Elena worked as a contracts manager for an IT systems integrator and as a solicitor at a general legal practice.

Amelie Bergeron

Amelie’s areas of expertise include contract law, intellectual property licensing and international law.

Amelie advises clients in the equipment supply, services, construction, manufacturing and energy industries, including Marubeni-Itochu, Permagard, Living Edge and Dynamiq Assist.

Prior to joining Source, Amelie worked in senior in-house legal roles for leading multinational companies in the telecommunications, energy and engineering industries such as Alcatel, Areva and Schneider Electric.

Amelie is a native French speaker and is actively involved with the French business community in Australia.

Michael Kadoury

Michael has over 20 years of experience as a senior commercial lawyer in both the private and public sectors, advising clients from a vast range of industries, including information technology, bio-technology, energy, broadcasting, education, automotive, manufacturing and entertainment.

Michael’s areas of expertise include contract law, corporate law, corporate structuring (including across multiple jurisdictions), information technology, intellectual property, research & development grants and privacy law. Michael is also a registered Australian Migration Agent, and specialises in helping skilled migrants and entrepreneurs to immigrate to Australia.

Michael lives both in Israel and Australia and is deeply involved, both as an entrepreneur and a lawyer, in the start-up and technology innovation scenes in both countries.

George Paramananthan

George’s areas of expertise include contract law, corporate law, property law, intellectual property, competition and consumer law and implementing high quality compliance and training programs.George provides legal support to numerous clients in the labour hire and recruitment, retail, infrastructure and technology industries, including Manpower, Kelly Services, Ambition Group, Newslink, Alstom and Ecotech.

Prior to joining Source, George worked in senior in-house legal roles with leading multinational companies, including as Australasia general counsel of multinational property services group Jones Lang LaSalle. George has also provided legal and management consultancy services to companies from a wide range of industries, including property and real estate, banking and financial institutions, FMCG, luxury consumer goods, professional services, construction, arts, digital media, broadcasting, IT&T and not-for-profit.

George provides legal advice not only with a highly-developed business acumen but also with a characteristic vivacity and style.

Trish Ryan

Trish has extensive knowledge and experience in commercial law, a strong focus on employment law, and deep experience in conducting workplace investigations for clients. Trish works with clients in all sectors, including financial services, media, healthcare, technology, FMCG, logistics, recruitment, education, and hospitality. Trish brings a commercial and business focus to all of her work, and is adept at delivering practical, timely and pragmatic advice to clients from SMEs to major corporations.t

Previously, Trish worked for global law firm Baker & McKenzie, before spending a number of years working in-house for large multinationals.

Sharon Sills

Sharon’s areas of expertise include company secretarial and corporate governance services, handling complex multidisciplinary (legal, tax and governance) matters and undertaking compliance, legal and risk audits and due diligence.

Sharon has provided company secretarial and compliance services to clients, including WDS (construction and mining services) and Ebony Coal (resources).

Prior to joining Source, Sharon worked as company secretary and corporate counsel for an engineering energy group, WorleyParsons Limited (an ASX50 company).

Eduard Barskyi

Eduard is a paralegal at Source.

Eduard has recently completed a Juris Doctor (JD) degree at the University of Sydney, following a Politics & International Relations degree at Royal Holloway, University of London. He will be admitted as a legal practitioner in NSW in February 2020, upon completion of his Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice. At Source, Eduard assists our legal team in a wide range of areas, including contracts, disputes and corporate law.

Prior to joining Source, Eduard worked as a Legal Trainee in Refugee Advice & Casework Services in Sydney, as a Legal Intern in KPMG in the Ukraine and as a Paralegal in Shanghai Hanglung Law Office in Shanghai.

Eduard also has IT expertise, and is currently completing a coding course in the University of Sydney.
